18 Greens
This documentary-style video was filmed and edited by me to capture the final installation “18 Greens”, a custom acrylic on canvas piece created for Ascent MKE by the artist in residence, Reginald Baylor Studio. This longform piece of content was posted on the Ascent MKE instagram in collaboration with Reginald Baylor Studio and is the highest performing post promoting the residency.
The Pharmacy Bar
In 2023, I was responsible for creating organic and paid content for The Pharmacy Bar, located in the Crossroads Collective Food Hall. I oversaw a rebranding effort that emphasized holistic healing, herbal remedies, fresh ingredients, and exclusive happy hour offers. Working closely with the Marketing Director and the Beverage and Events Coordinator, we revamped the menu, offered a variety of fresh alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and developed a new, approachable brand voice. Additionally, as the beverage photographer and social media manager, I focused on increasing our visibility by using trending sounds in reels to attract a new audience and drive more traffic to the bar.
Shanghai Speakeasy
During the time I worked as a social media manager for The Pharmacy Bar, I also handled the creation of organic and paid content for Shanghai Speakeasy, which is situated in Black Cat Alley on Milwaukee’s East Side. Unlike The Pharmacy Bar, Shanghai Speakeasy is designed to resemble the style 1920’s Old Hollywood films and offers an intimate speakeasy experience with dim lighting, high-end hand-crafted cocktails, and Absinthe fountain drinks, available only through reservations. To showcase this ambiance on social media, I used a combination of film and flash photography to capture the cocktails in the best possible light while still maintaining the moody and vintage feel of the speakeasy.
The most successful post on Shanghai's Instagram page was when I collaborated with the Beverage and Events Coordinator to promote the Green Fairy Garden in Shanghai. This unique alleyway cocktail experience was open to the public without reservations. I photographed the special drinks featured on the menu and captured the space before and during the event to attract more visitors and raise awareness of Shanghai's hidden location in Black Cat Alley.
Ascent MKE
Currently known as the tallest mass timber residential building in the world, Ascent MKE located on 700 E. Kilbourn Ave is the largest apartment building owned and managed by New Land Enterprises. As a content marketing specialist, my role is to manage and curate organic and paid content for Ascent MKE to build a community for residents and to generate leads for future prospects. Along with highlighting amenities like the four seasons pool and 25th floor rooftop bar, Canopy, I also combine user generated content of residents at Ascent with reels of units to maintain an engaging and unique feed. Another aspect of my role is to create content for the Artist in Residence program at Ascent to promote this stand out amenity and build visibility for local artists in Milwaukee like Reginald Baylor Studio.
NOVA MKE
NOVA MKE is a residential apartment building located at 1237 N Van Buren Street, known for its quirky and colorful atmosphere. It is owned and managed by New Land Enterprises and is the most recent new construction property, with a final completion date of September 2023. My role, along with the Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Specialist, was to build the brand from scratch and utilize social media and web design to increase visibility and generate leads for both the pre-leasing and lease-up seasons. The brand voice for social media is characterized as witty, silly, and punchy, while also providing information about unique amenities such as the outdoor infinity pool and the co-working spaces.
